This afternoon concert explores the possibilities of the violone and violoncello as solo instruments, and the emergence of the violoncello for the first time in the 1680s in Bologna. Accompanied by the acclaimed theorbo player Elizabeth Kenny, Mark Caudle is well known to Cambridge audiences as the superb cellist and viol player of The Parley of Instruments.
