Cambridge Early Music Concerts 2009

CONCERT SERIES 2009 Concert 14

A MANY-COLOURED COAT

Evelyn Tubb and Anthony Rooley

7.30 pm, Saturday 24 October, 2009
Emmanuel United Reformed Church
Jerusalem, as an emblem of love and devotion, forms the central theme of this programme of poetry, divine and passionate, and music from the several traditions which set that poetry. The music ranges widely, not only in place but also in time. Hildegard of Bingen from the 12th century rubs shoulders with Purcell from the late 17th.
