CONCERTI FOR CHRISTMAS

The Musical and Amicable Society

7.30 pm, Saturday 12 December, 2009
Great St Mary's Church
The Musical and Amicable Society have enchanted Cambridge audiences for the past five years with their superb musicianship and risk-taking energy. This vibrant young chamber orchestra is a democratic ensemble of soloists, performing on period instruments without a fixed leader or director. This year the Amicables are joined by acclaimed baroque oboist Mark Baigent, and their programme will include concerti for violin and for oboe, Bach's Double Concerto for oboe and violin, works by Muffat and Telemann, and Michel Corrette's delightful Symphonie de Noël.
