Cambridge Early Music Concerts 2011

THE FRENCH BAROQUE VIOL

Mark Caudle (viol) and Elizabeth Kenny (theorbo)

4.00pm, Sunday 31 July, 2011

A tea-time concert by two superb virtuoso players. The programme will include pieces for solo viol by Marin Marais, character pieces by Monsieur de Sainte-Colombe, music from Charles Dollé's Second Suite, including Le Tombeau pour Marais Le Père, and movements from Forqueray's Third Suite. Elizabeth Kenny, one of Europe's leading lute players, will also play works for solo theorbo by Robert de Visée and for baroque guitar by Francisque Corbetta.
